At Two Roads Elementary, our specialized programs are thoughtfully designed to help students build the skills and learning habits they need to fully engage with the general education curriculum. Guided by each student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP), our special education services provide personalized support through a variety of approaches, including direct instruction, co-teaching, consultation, and materials modification—ensuring every student has the tools and guidance to succeed academically.
Special Education Program Services
Serving All Learners
Two Roads is a public charter school that proudly serves students with disabilities and English Learners, providing all services required by state and federal law.
As a public school, we follow all laws prohibiting discrimination based on disability, race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, ancestry, or need for special education services. We comply with IDEA, Section 504, and the ADA, and in most cases, the services a student needs can be provided at Two Roads.
Special Education & Student Placement
Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), students are entitled to a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE). A student’s IEP outlines the specific services and supports they receive.
In Colorado, providing FAPE is a shared responsibility between the charter school and its authorizer.
While most services can be supported at Two Roads, some students may require a different placement based on decisions made by their IEP or 504 team.
Admissions & Enrollment
-
Applicants are not required to disclose whether they have an IEP.
