Board Responsibilities

Two Roads Charter School is the responsibility of its Governing Board of Directors, the purpose of which is to:

  • Provide support to and oversight of school function and administration
  • Create and set policies that support the school's Vision and Mission
  • Oversee and ensure the school's financial health and viability
  • Serve as liaison between the school and the larger community

The Board is obligated to act in a manner that sustains and supports both our traditionally-educated and home-educated students. It is not the responsibility of the board to manage the day-to-day operation of the school.

For SY2014-15, the Board meets the fourth Tuesday of most months (see specific dates below). The meeting is preceded by a working session, at which the Board receives information and reports from the Administration and from sub-committees. The public is welcome to attend both sessions and the Board adheres to the policies outlined in the Colorado Sunshine Law.

Individuals interested in speaking to the Board are invited to contact a Board member at least a week beforehand, or sign up the day of the meeting. Notices of Board meetings, minutes, agendas, additional meetings, sign-up to speak, etc. are posted on the bulletin board in the Arvada campus reception area. Board documents - including meeting agendas and approved minutes - are available for download (scroll down) or may be checked out by placing a request with the board secretary. Copies of the school's Charter and bylaws may be downloadedhere or checked out from the school.
